RDT Announces a FREE "Informance"
by PARTCH featuring the music of HARRY PARTCH

Repertory Dance Theatre invites audiences to a free “informance” (Lecture & Demonstration) featuring PARTCH, a unique music ensemble from Los Angeles, California that specializes in the music & instruments of the iconoclastic American composer Harry Partch. RDT’s pre-season event on Oct 1, 2008 at 7:00 PM will focus on the music and life of Harry Partch, the instruments he created and his composition, Castor and Pollux. 

PARTCH has been call “Stunning…”  - (Los Angeles Times) and “Marvelous to watch and to hear…” – (LA Weekly) The “informance” is sponsored by: The Utah Arts Council / National Endowment for the Arts, Salt Lake City Arts Council, Salt Lake County ZAP Program, Wells Fargo Foundation and the Emma Eccles Jones Foundation.  This event may also be supported by the Utah Humanities Council. A voucher will be handed out at the PARTCH "Informance" to receive group rate pricing for a Messengers Ticket ($10 savings) not applicable with other discounts or offers.

The first Monday of every month, admission is free all day to all visitors.

Open from 9:30 AM until 8:00 PM
